Look who's 1

Isaac turned 1 on September 2, 2007. Many of his Aunt's & Uncles
Grandparents, Great Grandma, & of course his parents
were there to celebrate the special day.

During the first year of Isaac's life, there were many milestones in which we were able to celebrate! Those included his first smile, giggles, drinking from a bottle, rolling over, crawling, sleeping through the night (it does eventually happen for all you soon to be mothers!), first words, first shopping experience, and the list goes on........Our most memorable and joyful celebration was on the day that Isaac got baptized. He was baptized on September 17, 2006, at Gloria Christi Lutheran Church!

Already trying to impress the ladies! :)

All full of smiles at 3 months!

I highly recommend the "bumbo"
chair! Isaac still likes sitting in it,
and it really helped him with his
sitting? This is Isaac sitting at
5 months.

Our little big shot!
Nothing seems to
scare him! This was
the first sign that
we needed to lower
his mattress to
the bottom level.
Talk about having
a heart attack
first thing in the
morning!!!

Hopefully he will give faces like these to
scare off the girls! If not, we will just keep
him locked at home until he is 21! :)

Well.... I think Isaac wants

to end this conversation!
Before he hangs up, we would
like to mention that we are
looking forward to another
year of celebrations and
milestones. We are also hoping
that it takes its time, knowing
that the "terrible horrible
twos"
is lurking just around
the corner!
We thank God
for the son that
he has given
to us and the many
ways
that it has blessed our

marriage.

First Family Vacation

Over Memorial weekend, the Lile Family trekked south of the border to Los Alamos, New Mexico (or as Anna says, "Lost Almost") to spend a week with Anna and her family. This was our first road trip as a family. Yes... we took a total of a 20 hour car ride with an 8 month old baby! Amazingly enough we survived and will probably do it again in the future! We got spoiled with some amazing cooking from Anna's mom and had a wonderful tour guide (Anna herself) to show us around Los Alamos and Santa Fe. The following pictures are a few highlights of our trip!

Only 8 months old and already wants the keys!

The Loretta Chapel was
built in1873
and is well
known for its
"Miraculous Staircase".

The "Miraculous Staircase"
The staircase has two 360 degree turns
and has no visible means of support.

Oldest House in the US! (1200-1646)
Cliff Dwellings in Bandelier National Park

This was one of many ladders
we got to climb while
touring the cliff dwellings.
Micah and I finally determined
that the ladders were only put
there to show you, and
everyone else in the world, how
out of shape you really are!!! :)

After a 10 hour
drive back to
Colorado, well
see if they are
all full of smiles!!!!

The "Jenius" aka
Anna & the "Freak"
aka Jessica are
trying real hard
to act normal!!
Don't ask about
the nicknames!
We don't even
know how they came
to be!!! :)

You think Micah would have learned
his lesson the first time!!!!

Well...we had a lovely stay in
Los, Alamos New Mexico, but
Greeley, Colorado is calling
us home now. Until next time...
